As of Spring 2024, Lanier Technical College began transitioning to Webex Calling, a cloud based phone system provided by Cisco. Here are a few bullet points to help those transitioning:
- Jabber is being retired as a chat and software phone client, being replaced by Webex.
- Voicemail is now ONLY found in Webex or from your desk phone. You will receive an email as a notification that you have a voicemail, but you must use Webex of a desk phone to check your voicemail.
- If you have an LTC phone number, you may install the webex app on your personal device to make and receive calls from your desk phone number, chat, and check your voicemail. It is NOT REQUIRED to sign the Personal Mobile Devices (PMD) for Business Communications Request.
