New to Lanier Tech?  That's great!  We're happy to have you as part of the Lanier Tech Laker family.  This article should give you the basic information you need to get started.


Here are the first steps you should take:

  • You will need your 910 student number to look up your Laker Login.  That comes via email to your personal email address.  If you cannot find it, please email admissions@laniertech.edu or call 770-533-7000 and ask for admissions.
  • Get your Laker Login (username/Email).
  • Change your password by logging into Student Email.  The initial password is your date of birth. For example, January 3, 2002 would be: Jan032002. BEFORE YOU CAN ACCESS BLACKBOARD OR BANNERWEB, you MUST change your password away from the initial password. Login to Student Email or use a computer on campus to change your password. This is a one-time requirement to change it AWAY from the initial password.
  • Setup required Multi-Factor Authentication
  • Register for password recovery.  This will make sure you can reset your own password, even when the IT HelpDesk is closed.
