You will need to use a computer and a cell phone to set this up.
On Your Mobile Device
1. Download the Okta Verify from app store
- For iPhone users: Click here to download the Okta Verify app from the App Store!
- For Android users: Click here to download the Okta Verify app from the Google Play Store
If only using your mobile device follow these directions:
Tap get started…
Tap + (to add account)
Tap Organization
Tap Skip
Tap No, sign in instead
Type laniertech.okta.com
Sign in to LTC user account
On computer go to login.laniertech.edu OR https://laniertech.okta.com
go to settings (click down arrow next to name)
scroll down to Security Methods
click Set up next to Okta Verify
Log into your account
then click set up
you will see a QR Code
this is the code you will scan using your phone
Choose Okta Verfy,
Then download the OKTA Verify App on your phone
this will display on the computer screen, use your phones camera to hover over the QR code, then click Open in Okta Verify.
Then the Account Added will appear so let you know your account has been set up.
Once set up and you try to log in you will get the prompt asking if you are trying to sign in. click Yes, Its' Me (if you recently logged in) IF you get this and you have not tried to sign into your account within the past 10 minutes do NOT click yes and immediately call the help desk at 770-533-7048 and report this issue.

click Can't Scan
choose Email me a setup link
Click Next
fill in your email address that you want the code to be sent to
click Send me the setup link
Check the email for the Activation Email
Click the Activate Okta Verify Push Button at the bottom
