Recovering a deleted file


  • To recover a deleted file you will first need to access the web version of your OneDrive. 

           (Directions for accessing OneDrive through the internet can be found here.) 


  • Once you log in with your "Laker Login" click "Recycle Bin" on the left menu. Here you will see files that have been deleted out of the OneDrive folders even if the file has been permanently deleted or no longer in the recycle bin on the local computer.


  • To recover the deleted file, right-click on the file in the recycle bin and select "Restore".



Restoring an old version of a file


  • To restore an older version of a file you will first need to access the web version of your OneDrive.

  • Once you log in with your "Laker Login" right-click on the file you would like to restore and select "Version history"



  • The version history window contains a list of the previous versions of a file, the date it was modified and the user who made the modifications. Right-click on the version of the file you would like to restore and select "Restore". You also have the option to open the file or delete the older version.
